Collaborative Community Exhibition

I have been lucky enough to be selected to participate in this art exhibition, coming up in November. I have so many ideas buzzing around for it that I’m struggling to decide which way to go. Of course, I could make up a handsome tiki┬ábut it’s quite tantalising thinking of all the new possibilities. The exhibition is a great concept – Jeannie (the organiser) obtained a whole bunch of unwanted silk screens. She passes them on to the selected artists who all use this as their starting point. They’re delicious looking things…still sporting bits of paint pigment and faded order numbers. I think I’ll leave mine with all it’s personality rather than sanding it all off. Watch this space, I’ll post images of the finished piece once the exhibition rolls around. If you’re in Tauranga the weekend of November 23, I highly recommend you pop by. It should be a good one!

New Blood

I’ve been a busy beaver lately, creating for the recent Kingsland Fraft market and adding new stock to the shop. Thought I’d just take 5 minutes to share a selection of some of the new “blood” for you to have a squizz at. Pictured are the PatchWerk fantail, button magnets, vintage button ring and card wallet. There’s more “arriving” daily so be sure to keep popping back for a looksie.
